WGRLQ Golf Events

What is the difference between a “game day” and a “play day”?

Game Days are scheduled on Tuesdays during the season and include both individual and team formats. The Pro Shop reserves a block of tee times for Members to play on Tuesdays on one course usually between 8am-11am. Some Tuesday tee times may be reduced or cancelled completely due to other RLQCC events. A Member can still participate in the Game Day competition during tee times before and after the designated tee times on the same course so long as she plays with other Members and informs the Pro Shop. Each Game Day prize purse varies per event and the prizes are funded from the WGRLQ dues. The Pro Shop will give each Member the Game Day score card when they check in for their tee time and each Member should turn that score card into the Pro Shop at the end of their round.  The Pro Shop will post all scores on Game Days.

Play Days are scheduled on Thursdays during the season and involve regular play with no specific format assigned. The Pro shop reserves a block of tee times for Members to play on Thursdays on one course usually between 8am-11am.  Some Thursday tee times may be reduced or cancelled completely due to other RLQCC events.  All score cards should be turned into the Pro Shop after play. The Pro staff will post all scores, unless “practice round” is written on the score card.

For both Game Days and Play Days, each Member will receive an email from the Pro Shop approximately 7 days in advance that will provide a link to sign up for a particular tee time from 8am to 11am.  The link will open at 7am the week prior to the Game or Play Day.  By clicking on the link, the Member will be able to sign herself – as well as other Members – up for a particular tee time.
